The ring looks better than photo. The mother of pearl is lighter colored, which is a good thing. The ring has a nice weight to it. Solid ring.

Over a year ago (November 2024) I purchased my ring as my wife and I decided to renew our wedding vows in my homeland of New Zealand on October 30th, 2005 (our 20th anniversary)... I had not worn my new band till then. We have a 10 year old daughter, in March 2026 I shaved and forgot to put my ring back on my finger, after collecting my daughter from school, we went home so she could get her phone before going to a doctor's appointment. I had asked my daughter to get my ring while she was inside the house. She skipped inside, got my ring and quite promptly dropped it on our tile floor.... needless to say that the floor one and my ring (that I had only worn a few months) broke a pretty decent chip out of it. It broke my heart because I genuinely loved that ring. On thr off chance my wife reached out to Manly Bands and we were instructed to attempt a warranty claim. I was not expecting anything to happen... but today I checked the mail and these was a brand new band. I'm 43 years old next month, and the kindness these guys showed brought a tear to my eye (that I willed back up into the duct). I honestly love these rings... the fact that it broke when being dropped onto a tile floor is a pretty obvious outcome and we were saving up for a new one as a replacement.
I went for the angler because it is very New Zealand style, the abalone resembles pāua shell, and the Koa Wood resembles Nee Zealand Rimu Wood.

My original wedding got too big for my finger, so I was need of a new one. As soon as I saw this gem, I went for it... and my oh my, it's gorgeous in person.
