It is everything we were hoping for and more. The Damascus steel is surprisingly unshiny, which I like because I'm not a blingy type of guy. And yet, on close inspection the layering of the metal is quite artistically rendered and adds to its character. I appreciate the historical connection as well. All the swords worn by British officers in the day were crafted with Damascus steel blades. It is the closest the western metallurgists ever got to replicating the hardness of the Japanese samurai sword blades. I also absolutely love the turquoise counterpoint to the steel. As children of of Arizona, the connection to our home state where so much turquoise was mined is significant to us. It's the only piece of jewelry I wear, and for my wedding band , it is so perfect. One thing I learned from my wife, who had a lesson from her jeweler after having the posts on her engagement ring repaired: rings should be rotated to even the wear. Probably TMI, but every time I shower I remember to reverse it. Works for me. I just want to add that Manly Bands is a company that puts customer service and satisfaction at the forefront of its mission. I doubt I'll ever need another wedding band, but we know they stand behind their products and I'm confident should any issues arise they'll make it right. I am so happy to write a glowing review for MB, which they wouldn't get were they not most deserving. 'Nuf said.

The now-hubby loves it, it matches his aesthetic perfectly… the customer service is also amazing! I emailed because I was nervous it won’t be in in time for our 420 elopement (we planned the whole thing very quickly) and they got it out to us as soon as they could! The fedex tracking didn’t even engage!
